I used the 3.0beta before. Now upgraded and installed the new licence (double-click not working, had to add it in the pref pane's + dialogue). I don't see any change in behaviour (which is good), but also the version shows 3.0b17 (build 762).
So I'm asking myself: did you release a beta or did my upgrade fail?

I saw the same behavior. Close the preference pane (pain? ) and reopen. It should show 3.0. If not, you may have to uninstall/reinstall.

System Preferences sometimes will display the old version number. As Bryan mentioned, quitting and restarting should clear it up.
