Hazel 5 for cloning/syncing a drive/folders? Sat Mar 06, 2021 1:21 pm • by asingh
I'm wondering if it's possible to use Hazel (and if so, how) to observe some select folders in my Google Drive and whenever a file is added to one of those select folders, to make a carbon copy of it onto my Mac's Documents folder...essentially if on my Google Drive I have folders X Y and Z that I want to have a copy of on my Mac, I want Hazel to duplicate X Y and Z into my Documents folder keeping the same subfolders and paths, AND whenever a new file gets saved into X Y Z on the drive folder, that one file also gets added to my documents folder...I'm wanting to do this bc spotlight/Alfred don't index and allow me to search within a google drive file, but if its physically on my Mac it'll let me do it. Thanks in advance for your help!

What if files/folders are removed from the source? How about if something is modified? Do you want those to be reflected in the destination as well?
