Hazel automation with user-induced file duplication

Dear all,

I have a shared folder in which pdfs are copied from my colleagues. I need to sign those via my iPad. I use the app Readdle Documents, which, after signing, by default adds the term "Kopie" at the end of the filename.

Example:
Document1.pdf appears in the folder.

I access this file via my iPad, sign it, and press save, i.e. the following is in the folder.

Document1.pdf
Document1 Kopie.pdf

This is fine since my hazel rule checks whether the Name contains "Kopie". If so, it moves only the signed file to a subfolder where my colleagues pick it up again for further processing.

The issue is, that I always have to delete the original file (Document1.pdf) by hand and I did not find a simple solution that Hazel is doing that for me after I signed it. Sure there must be an elegant way to do that, right?

Any advice will be highly appreciated,

Sincerely,
Ruperto

You can create a rule which uses a nested condition (look it up in the manual). Using those, you can set up conditions which match a file based on other files in the same folder. It may be tricky timing it right but you can have a rule match if the other files exists or doesn't exist.
