Hazel 5.0.2: Can't Save

I recently updated to Hazel 5.0.2. I now cannot save any new rule I create. I can edit and save current rules, but the save button does not respond when I click to save a new rule.

Running Big Sur. Was working fine until the upgrade.

Anyone else having the same problem?

Did you email in to support with this issue? If so, check my response there.

Hazel 5.1.1: Can't Save

I just purchased Hazel 5.1.1 and I am trying to follow the tutorials, however when I try to Edit a Rule by changing a Condition or Action (as per the instructions), the Save and Revert buttons are grayed out. When I close and reopen the rule, it reverts back to the previous state. However, I have discovered that if I change the title of the Rule, the Save and Revert buttons do appear, yet NOT when I change the Conditions or Actions. This does not seem intuitive and leads me to think that there's something I am doing wrong or some Preference setting I need to activate. Any guidance is appreciated.

Can you replicate this? Does it happen with particular rules or all of them? Can you give me steps from a cold launch of Hazel?

Your mention of a "cold launch" prompted me to reconsider what I was doing to "relaunch" it. I didn't realize that Hazel could be stopped from the menu bar. So, I selected Stop Hazel and then started it again. This seems to have COMPLETELY fixed the issue. NICE! Now any changes I make, the Save button appears! Yay!
Thanks very much for the help and for a great piece of software!

That's odd. I feel like that might be more of a coincidence. Keep an eye on it and reply back if it happens again.
