Copy All, then Delete Selected Files? Sat Dec 05, 2020 3:04 pm • by DarkAthena
Hello. Using Hazel 5 on Catalina. What I would like to do is this:

Every couple of months, I need to send some reports out. I gather the PDFs into a folder and then when that folder hits 5 items, it copies those items to another folder where an Automator script zips them and passes them to my email app.

What I would like to do is pass all 5 of those to the copy folder and then delete only 4 of the files from the original folder (one file is a cover letter that has to be sent every single time).

Is there a way to do this? I have everything figured out except how to move 4 of those files to the trash after copying. Thanks for your help!

I would think something like this would work for you. I added the Date Created line to give you some time to work with the files before they are deleted.

Hmmm...that might work. I'll play around some more but I think I might have to break up the rules into different ones.
