Is this possible? Fri Nov 27, 2020 11:50 am • by Still19
I'm just getting into all Hazel can do for me. I don't see anything in the preset things to do so I guess I'm looking for a script for this. I have a pdf. I would like to put that on my desktop and at a certain time have Hazel open the pdf in my program, PDF Expert. The pdf has the time on it, but I guess I can rename it to the time I want it to open. Is that possible? Or maybe have a task open with the link for me to click at a certain time, maybe that will work.
Thanks

Rick

Try using the "Current time" attribute if you want to schedule rules to fire at specific times. When you say the pdf has the time on it, do you mean in the contents?

Then use a match pattern with a custom date attribute to match that date. You should then be able to match that date against Current time.

Look up match patterns in the manual. There's a lot more info there.
