Sorry, but ...Yet another Subfolder question

Hi, Mr. Noodle! I thought I understood this, but evidently I do not. I have read the FAQs.

I want to backup a folder with subfolders using Hazel (on Dropbox, but I don't think that matters). The Folder contains subfolders and single files that are constantly changing. So, say the folder "Folder to Copy" to be backed up contains:

* Subfolder 1, containing File 1, File 2, and File 3
* File 4
* File 5

I create two rules. Rule 1:

Folder "Folder to Copy"
If Kind is Folder, run rules on folder contents

and Rule 2 is

Folder "Folder to Copy"
If Date Last Modified is After Date Last Matched, Copy file to folder "Copies"

These rules copy all files to the folder "Copies", but as a flat file. The subfolder itself is not copied, only the files therein. Changes to the "Folder to Copy" files are correctly copied to the correct backups,but of course not in the subfolder.

On the other hand, if I just use Rule 2, the file structure is maintained and all files are copied, but if files in the subfolder are changed in the "Folder to Copy", those changes are not reflected in the copied subfolder.

So, what I want to do is mirror files and folders offline. It seems I would need to have separate rules for each folder and subfolder. That's problematic, since their names and folder structure are all constantly changing. Am I missing anything? Might v3.0 help? Thanks.

This is problematic on 2.x. I recommend using 3.0 for this. If you go this route, please follow-up in the beta forums.
