How to add Hazel Helper to Login Items on Big Sur

I upgraded to Big Sur and Hazel 5.0.1. Previously I seem to remember that my login items included Hazel helper. Now I have Hazel in my login items. I am pretty sure that I added it myself. The result being that when I login every morning Hazel is open with what I call the rules window.

Assuming that Hazel Helper is a bit of code that runs runs in the background what do I need to do so that just Hazel Helper is loaded instead of the full Hazel program.

You don't need to do that. HazelHelper is still there but it's a "hidden" login item. I didn't like this approach but it was required by Apple to be able to use certain features. It's all managed internally so don't worry about it not appearing in the login items list.

So to make sure I understand this, can I remove the Hazel App from login items and still have the Hazel Helper code load every day when I restart my computer?

Hazel should have already removed it when installing but if it's still there, then yes, you can remove it.
