Evernote and Applescript PSA

So I might be one of the few still using Evernote. Just wanted to give a heads up if anyone else installs the new software without reading. So the new version of Evernote doesn't have AppleScript support (and its not 100% clear if its a when or if). For some of us using scripts to get scanned files renamed, tagged, etc into Evernote, this is not good news. Couldn't for the life of me figure out why all my scripts looked jumbled and wouldn't work. Installed the Legacy Evernote and everything is back to normal. At the moment I have both on my Macs as they claim that is alright, but they warn that support isn't going to be around forever. If they don't add Applescript support to the new version, I may just have to say goodbye to Evernote. Of course, others may have either moved on or found a workaround, or were at least smart enough to read the release notes. That person isn't me.

Thanks for the heads up. I probably would have updated in earnest. Applescript is a huge part of my workflow.Unlike most I have been optimistic that Evernote continues to be the best platform for me. This is the first major event to cause me to question my approach.

I will likely stick with legacy until a point where it doesn't work. Perhaps both can co-exist on the same account.
