Select smallest file from 2 files with same file name...

I am a digital scrapbooker and Hazel has been a great tool for me to manage all the digital files I purchase and download. One task I am still doing manually relates to files that I typically get that have the same file name but either the PSD or TIF extension. Since my software can read either type, I want to identify the smaller file and move it to the appropriate folder. (it would be a plus if Hazel could either trash the rest of the folder or label the folder so that I know it has been processed and has files that can be deleted).

Any suggestions for how to accomplish this?

Thank you in advance!

Holly

At the moment, there's no good way of doing this without resorting to a script.

Thanks for the response.... would it be a very challenging script? :-) I would love to automate this, but admit my script skills are limited to cutting and pasting with a wee little bit of tailoring :-)

It might be a bit challenging if you don't have much experience with scripting. Maybe someone else here can help you out or you could also try lurking around some AppleScript forums.
