Drag and drop bug in Hazel 4.4.5

I had lost a set of rules, so wanted to import them from a backup. I selected "Import Rules…" from the gear menu. An open file dialog appeared. I also had a Finder folder open that contained the file. Without thinking I dragged the file from the Finder window into the Hazel "Rules" panel (while the file open dialog was still there).
What was nice is that it caused the import that I wanted. What is a bug, IMHO is that the file selection dialog stayed open. It seems it should either not allow a D&D while it is open, or alternatively terminate if a D&D happens while it is open.
Just discovered it is actually a little worse. After reporting this above, I clicked "Cancel" in the file open dialog. It went away but things are kinda "stuck":

- I can click within the Hazel Pref Panel and things there mostly work, like switch to the Info tab and back to Folders etc.
- I can click on rules in the rules tab
- I cannot click on "Search" and enter any text
- I cannot click on the "All Preference Panels" icon
- I cannot close System Preferences
- I had Force Quit system preferences
