Not recognising folders

Hi,

I have a rule in my downloads folder to throw anything that was 'not in the last' 5 days. This works for all file types however it never seems to throw away folders even though the rule should have been triggered. I did a preview test on a folder that wasn't added in the last 5 days and it gives me a green tick saying that everything is ok yet obviously something is wrong.

The rule seems to work as a desktop rule, but for some reason in my downloads folder it doesn't work.

This has been happening for some time now.

Do you have any ideas what might be wrong?

Are there other rules preceding it which matches folders? Try using the rule status to see what rules the folder is matching.

Thanks for the tip. I ran the rule status and all the files that didn't move were matching 'go into subfolders'. So in the 'go into subfolders' rule I added another condition 'Date added is in the last 5 days'.

It seems to have done the trick!

If there's another simpler way around it that I am missing please let me know.
