Syncing Rules

If I sync my rules, how does a client device treat these. For example will it distinguish between my "server machine" Download folder and the client machine Download folder

For any folders under your home folder, the paths will be relative to home. So, if you are referencing your Downloads folder, which is directly in your home folder, then it will use the user's Download folder, directly in their home folder, on their machine.
