I want Hazel to trash files after copying them to my external drive. I had embedded this command directly after a copy to external drive folder command, but I'm finding that it isn't executing the first command and just trashing the file based on the 2nd command. Do I need to separate out the rules to give Hazel enough time to have run the first command?

Note that any actions after a Copy action will operate on the copy, not the original. In your case, try using the Move action instead.
