Hi all,

I am using a tool on my mac that automatically creates screenshots every few seconds, so I have backup of my user activity. I use it a lot.

I want to use Hazel to sort and archive these pictures. My problem is that the tool creates these pictures with a 'hidden' flag, probably because its main purpose is to function as a keylogger (i don't use that functionality, but bought the software, as its brilliant for unobtrusive screen capture).

I can't figure out how hazel can work with hidden files. With the preview, they simply don't show up.
I can of course 'unhide' these files manually using chflag, but I want it to be automated.
I have also talked to the developer of the screen capture app, they don't see any need to change the behavior.

Is there anything I am missing here? How can hazel work with files/folder that have 'hidden' flag?

There's a hidden default for that. Check out this post: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=415

Do not use the "Rules for running folder contents" in a rule that corresponds to the file you want to move. This is in a separate rule for a reason. In addition, as mentioned earlier, counting subfiles makes sense only when matching with a folder. In the pop-up window that says “current file or folder”, change it to “subfolder”.
