Hi

Is there any way to determine if a PDF file is password protected ?

I've tried about 6 or 7 attributes (like security, encryption, permission etc), but they are all blank.

Do I have to use some Scripting to work it out?

Any clues gratefully received.

This is something I got from another user recently. At least for the PDF files I have here, there is a "Security" attribute that is set to "Password Encrypted". I suggest filtering on that to see if that works for you.

Thanks - that seems to work!
The strange thing is that when I inspected that item (in Hazel) that field appeared empty. But now that I know what to test for its all good.
