Hi All,

I would like Hazel to automatically convert flac files to mp3. I found this tool, and have got it working now - http://projects.robinbowes.com/flac2mp3/trac

This may be a stupid question, but I am not too familiar with shell scripting: It seems the flac2mp3.pl script will only work on folders - not individual flac files. I was wondering how I could refer to the container of the file (i.e. path to $1). Is this possible?

You probably would want to use the 'dirname' command (do 'man dirname' in a Terminal window).
