I would like to use Hazel to set the tags that Plex uses (specifically Genres and Collections). Does anyone know if this is possible?

I don't know how Plex operates in this case but I suspect it has its own database of this stuff.

I have been digging further and the results are a) yes, Plex stores metadata in it's own database (SQLite), however b) if you set some MP4 tags Plex will read those.

There is a command line tool called Exiftool that can write those tags, so I need to figure out how to write a script, with variables passed from Noodle, to do that. Unfortunately, all my previous attempts at scripting failed miserably.
