Copy attribute to clipboard via script

Hi,

This seems fairly straightforward, but I don't know enough AppleScript (aka any) to do it. Basically, I have a rule to match the contents of a PDF to a specific pattern (custom attribute) and I'd like to copy the matched attribute to the clipboard so I can then paste it into another document (spreadsheet). I think the matching part is fine, I'm just not sure how to set up the script part?

Thanks

For the AppleScript itself, I suggest searching the net at large as there are other sites which are better resources for that.

Once you have the script, read the chapter on AppleScript in Hazel's manual on how to integrate it. In particular, the part about input attributes.

The best place I know to ask for AppleScript help is https://forum.latenightsw.com which is the discussion board for the makers of Script Debugger (the best AppleScript app out there) -- but you don't need to be using their app to ask a question.

There's a bunch of AppleScript-knowledgeable folks there who are usually very happy to help.
