Rules block each other Fri May 10, 2019 3:08 pm • by Tiburon
Good evening, I've been tinkering with what I think is a simple problem and can not do it.

And it goes to the following: I would like to attach the memory card of my camera on the Mac and thereby Hazel should do the following:

1. back up the images to an external drive
2. Copy the same images again to another external drive and sort the images by Camera / Lens / Raw / JPEG.

I have created 4 rules but which block each other.

If I set the rule 1 to backup the images in the first place then the underlying rules are no longer processed, if I put this rule 1 at the end of the series the camera rules are processed but the backup rule no longer.

I can vaguely remember that in a thread Mr. Noodle has spoken of that Hazel the already processed files "notes" so that the same files are not processed over and over (or so).

Can it be so easy that if I remember it properly, I fail because of Mr. Noodle's "protection" or does the problem sit 50 centimeters in front of the screen?

Thank you for reading, I am grateful for every tip

Why do you have separate rules? How about combining the actions into a single rule?
