Hi I would really appreciate a push in the right direction on this problem that I cannot manage to solve at the moment.

I have the following file structure

Customers/Customer No/
That always contain 2 files for every business transaction
1. date.Customer deatil.xls
2. date(+6). Customer order.pdf

For all future filing I have created rules that create the following folder structure:

Customers/Customer No/Customer Date

So I end up with just 2 files for 1 transaction in a subfolder called [Customer Date]

No problems so far. The future is dealt with

But it’s my existing files I am struggling with.

How Ican look at the many existing 2 group files that presently reside in the [Customer No] Folder and place them in a new created subfolder called [Customer Date] for each 2 corresponding files

In a nutshell if I have 30 xls files together with the 30 corresponding pdf files in the existing folder named [Customer No], how do I put the matched pair inside 30 new subfolders called [Customer date]

I am unsure if it’s particularly relevant, but I’ll mention it anyway, the newly created subfolder [Customer date] will always be named as the same date as that of the existing pdf file.

Thank you in advance for any assistance

I'm not sure how the existing files won't work but future ones will. What's different about them?
