no pattern match with custom date token? Wed Apr 03, 2019 4:53 am • by Stingo

After reading the help & some tips - I'm under the impression my pattern matching rule should work, but alas.
Although upon previewing the rule (and clicking the red x) Hazel seems to see the complete name, it doesn't want to match with what I visualised in the screenshot.

Basically - in any file of any length, with any special characters > I want to detect a date between the first 2 underscores and have the file sorted into a subfolder "year - month". The sorting into subfolder doesn't stump me, it's just why the matching of the filename doesn't work... (I thought the "everything" token would make it easypeasy)

What is the date format? If set to automatic, try specifying the format explicitly and see if it works after that.
