I'm trying to add an event to either google calendar or the apple calendar app based on a date variable I pull from a bill in hazel. Anyone have any ideas? Currently I just have Hazel pop up a notification with the date and I manually enter it. I was thinking there must be some way to use zapier for this. If possible I'd prefer that no applications open in the background. Thanks for any help!

I think you'll need to use AppleScript (at least for the Calendar app). You might want to search the net at large as it's not specific to Hazel. You can have Hazel pass attributes to the script but the script itself is custom logic.
