Help needed processing sub folders Mon Jan 21, 2019 2:36 pm • by dealtek
Hi all,

I have a top level folder = MainFolder

Inside it are several sub folders

Folder1
Folder2
Folder3

The rule for MainFolder is : Move if date added is not in the last 7 days

so if Folder1 - 2 or 3 matches the rule then it will get moved.

But what I want is:

to set the rule for MainFolder but have it drill down inside all the sub folders contents and just MOVE that stuff - not the actual Folder1 - 2 or 3.

Hope that makes sense.

I see the url: https://www.noodlesoft.com/manual/hazel ... ubfolders/

... but still not quite sure how to set this up...

Q: Is there hints how to set that up?

Thanks Dave

Rules apply to folders and files so you need to filter them out. In your move rule, make sure to not match the folders.

Then you need the other rule to actually match the folders so it can tell Hazel to go into them (and process the files within).
