Is it possible to do any sort of date manipulation/math/calculation for renaming?

For example, if I download a Q4 .csv file after the quarter is over, I'd like to be able to rename the file using the "quarter" date token, but modified to return the previous quarter.

Usually I download the files for a financial quarter after that quarter has already ended, so being able to manipulate that date calculation would be handy.

Trying to avoid having to create 4 separate rules, one for each quarter and analyzing the Date Created.

You can use the "Adjust date" function to make calculations like that. It's available in the date attribute after you drag it into your pattern.
