Lion and dated folders

I had a rule(s) that moved files into dated folders in the downloads folder and after one day moved the dated folders into another folder.

That way all my downloads were grouped by day.

The 'old folder' rule appears not to be working and folders are moved fairly quickly out of downloads so I end up with dated-1 dated-2 dated-3 etc...

Any ideas why?

I can't say without seeing your rules. I suggest emailing support with the exported rules as attachments. Also, send in a screenshot of your rule preview.

I've worked it out.

I had a rule that said if date last *opened* is not in the last day. That appears not to work in Lion, so I've changed it to if date last modified is not in the last day and that now works.
