Spotlight attribute 'Contents created' not creating folder

Want this one for sorting files, often the modification and/or creation date is wrong. This also fails on any spotlight attribute (tried device model). Recently altered rule to find files that only had the content creation attribute, thinking that was why it might be failing. But in most cases the best it does is create 0001 folder. Normal attributes work fine.

If you select the file in Finder and do "Get Info", you can see what date attributes are available there. Otherwise, I'm not quite following what you are trying to do. If you could provide an example, that might help.

I want Hazel to create a subfolder that is based on this attribute. This is what doesn't work. Instead of the date, it just puts all the files into a 0001 folder. Expected Behavior is that the image is placed inside a folder based on the contents created date, as happens if modification date is selected instead.

If that date isn't filled out then you'll get behavior like that. Check the dates that are available and make sure to use one of those.

Edit: Just tried this with a single image, and it worked. Perhaps some images don't have the year in there, and so it breaks the entire chain? Is there any way to get this to work on those that do have the supported information?

Yes all files have content created date, I added that into the filter. This seems to happen with any spotlight attribute, also tried device model.

Can you show the logs for a file where it isn't working along with a screenshot of the date in question?

Can you post the rule? I'm not sure what date attribute you are using here.
