Just getting started with Hazel and have a simple question and get the feeling I am simply overlooking something.

The sorting by kind is great, except I would like to have it ignore the subfolders and only sort by kind at the file level.

Add conditions so that the rule does not match those folders. If those are the only folders there, then you can use "Kind is Folder" otherwise you'll need to figure out how to distinguish those folders from others.
