Notification Settings PER RULE instead of GLOBAL? Tue May 14, 2013 12:43 pm • by Fofer
It seems like the "notification options" are global. They apply to all rules, yes?

Is there any way to set "per rule" notification options instead?

Because I would like to get notifications of "file events" for one of my rules -- but not the other (as it's a very busy rule and the constant notifications are too distracting.)

Correct, AFAIK. :)

Likely using the "Display notification" action for specific rules, with the global "File Events" option disabled (like in your image).

Btw, thanks for cluing me in to those Notification Options…. I may end up disabling "File Events" in favor of rule-specific notifications, especially now realizing (d'oh!) it's been the cause of redundant notifications for rules that already have customized "Display notification" actions.

An action to disable notifications, overriding enabled Notification Options…, could be useful.
