I am in and out of Windows VMs throughout the day, and they leave behind detritus. I need to share certain OS X folders to those VMs, so I can't turn off sharing. I want Hazel to clean that detritus, but I am having trouble.

I have a recipe which looks for a filename containing RECYCLE.BIN, type is folder, and file invisible=true. This isn't working, however, and I wonder if Hazel can parse the filename because it starts with $. Is this so? Is there a better way to do this? Am I overlooking something simple?

Thanks.

Is this file invisible on OS X? If so, Hazel won't process it as it ignores invisible files. If you want Hazel to process those as well (use with caution since many config files tend to be invisible and shouldn't be moved around), then check the sticky article under the Tips forum here: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=415
