moving a certain number of files from one folder to another

Thanks for the wonderful app

im trying to do something but im not sure if hazel can do it or not,

it's moving a certain number of random files from one folder to another on request

say for instance i have a folder called "review items" which has
100 of files

i'm looking for a rule that can move 5 random files (everyday/on request) from that
folder to my desktop for further processing

is that possible in Hazel ?

Picking random files is not something you can do with the built-in actions. For that you would have to look into doing something with AppleScript. I'm not sure how well versed you are in AppleScript but if not, you may want to check some AppleScript sites and see if you can find similar examples. I don't recall the sites off the top of my head but I'm sure a search will turn something up or maybe even someone here could recommend one.

Thanks Mr_Noodle, I'm not experienced with AppleScript, though I hope someone in this forum could accomplish what's on my mind
