OSX 10.8.3 and Date Matched Mon Dec 03, 2012 9:33 pm • by Mondozer
Howdy:

Trying to copy /User/Library/Mobile Documents/com-apple-Pages to Dropbox.
Rules:
1. Go into subfolders
if kind is folder, run rules on contents
2. iCloudPages2Dropbox
if all met for file or folder being matched
Kind is folder
If any met for current file or folder
Date last modified is after Date last matched
If all met for any of its subfiles or subfolders
Date last modified is after date last mached
Copy to Dropbox folder.

Has been working but stopped today. Been running 10.8.3 since Friday.
Looking in Hazel preview, rule 1. works. Rule 2 doesn't.
Metadata for subfolders shows entry for Date Last Matched.
Metadate for files has no entry for Date Last Matched. Naturally, Rule 2. doesn't work. Is this because 10.8.3 decided not to let Hazel save metadata in iCloud files?
In any case, how do I make it work?

TIA,
M.

Well, Hazel is storing date last matched in its own database, so its not that. I can tell you that the iCloud directory has very strong and unique permissions preventing other programs from mucking around.

I'd suggest looking at the Hazel logs to see if there are any issues to find.
