problem using applescript rule

Oh umm yeah I can copy and move the files myself without any issues. Thats what I do when the rules return an error.
I'll try the lsof command once the problem comes again. But like I was sayin, I don't see how another app could be using the files. My only opened apps (processes) were hazel, total finder, finder, bettertouchtool, console and activity monitor. Of all these, only hazel and finder can actually use the movie files. And it doesn't make sense that the files are kept busy by another app, I have not opened the files, I have no automation for opening the files, and I basically have maybe 8 apps that can open the files, 3 of those being movie players, which weren't open.. All other apps that can use movie files don't need to use the actual file, they are all like iMovie and create a copy of my files ( and there is no copy of those movie files anywhere else). (when I say the apps aren't opened, I am talking about the processes in activity monitor)

Not all the programs that can open a file are ones you can see graphically. Also, TotalFinder, being a Finder replacement, is a very like candidate since it potentially views the whole filesystem. The 'lsof' command should shed light on what it is.
