Thank you for the fast reply.
I completely forgot about that changing the displayed order of the rules would change the behaviour of the rules, too. Never mind.
Switching to pattern matching completely would be great, but I have not found a way to accomplish what I want with it yet.
I use hazel to monitor a folder where all my exported recordings from EyeTV end up. Using the name of the recording, I can get the name of the show, the episode number and the episode title. Unfortunately EyeTV does not include the season in the title of exported videos.
So while I can use the tokens I got from the filenames to sort TV shows in the right subdirectory and rename them to almost a format that Plex can parse to fetch metadata, I am still missing the season, which I have to edit manually.
Unless there is a way to tell Hazel to move a file into a folder by using something like a finder colour label (I could just set the active season’s folder Label to say red) or Hazel has the option to move a file to the folder which was created most recently, I see no way to get the sorting done with a few general rules.
If anybody could point me to a better solution, I would be grateful.
