Hazel Rule doesn't work on a cf card

I'm trying to create a hazel rule that renames the images on a sub folder of a cf card, then run a automator workflow that does a search and replace on on the file name that promps me to change a subset of the name (shoot relevant info). Nothing happens. Here is what the log said.

Not sure what that means

my rule conditions are "any file". Everything matches.

I tried it with just the rename part, same results. It will let me copy the files to to another folder. Might it have something to do with the file system used by the camera?

The error indicates that Spotlight isn't enabled on the card, which isn't surprising. Are you sure that's the only rule? Hazel normally doesn't access that metadata unless the rule references it somehow.

When try to trouble shoot I just did

Any file

The change the name Part was using things found in other that spotlight would be needed to see. So it may have been that. I'll try a simple name to see if spotlight is the culprit. I'll report back.

If you are using attributes in the renaming pattern, then yes, there's a good chance that accesses Spotlight as well. It might be better to rename the file after you have copied/moved it to a filesystem with Spotlight enabled.
