hazelfindersyncextension - Can't eject external hard drive

Hey,
I've recently run into the issue that I am unable to eject my external hard drive because it is 'still in use'.
I used a Mac utility to see what process could still be running and 'locking' my hard drive and it showed that "hazelfindersyncextension" was still using it.
I disabled the File Providers extension for Hazel in system settings, which seems to have fixed it, but I wanted to check if I've disabled some important Hazel functionality this way, and if there is a official fix for my issue that I should do instead?

Did you have an open Finder window on any folder on that drive?

The extension provides contextual menu items for reverting files and resetting counters. These options are also available in the menubar item if you have that enabled.
