Rule that runs a shortcut to send a text is not working

I created a rule that includes several things including running a shortcut. The shortcut will send a text. When I manually run the shortcut it works fine. The hazel app is successfully running (I can see the results) – However the shortcut that sends the text is not getting triggered properly - no text is received.

How can I fix this?

Thanks in advance – Dave

What version of macOS are you running?

Hi,

Currently running Sonoma 14.7.7 with this issue. I also have another with Sequioa 15.6 (haven't tried this on this computer yet).

I just tried it on Sequoia - and allowed the following message

Hazel app wants access to control shortcuts event app....

After I said allow - it did seem to work.

Maybe this is the issue with Sonoma? Is there a way I can go back and make sure these permissions are working correctly in Sonoma?

I just updated Sonoma Hazel to 6.0.4. It still does not seem to send a shortcut text...

Any suggestions what I can do to fix this?

There seems to be a bug in later versions of Sonoma with Shortcuts in general. Is there a reason you can't use Sequoia in this case?

Yes. in this case I have other software that runs best on Sonoma.

Maybe there is a workaround to be able to send a text from Hazel with Sonoma?

For now, you can use an AppleScript. Check the forums here as someone else did that recently.
