Using Hazel with iCloud Drive

I’d have many Rules that rename, move, and make aliases for about a dozen financial statements based on the content of their PDFs. Currently all these files are start in the Download folder and are moved to other folders on a local drive.

I’d like to change this repository to cloud storage, preferably iCloud Drive.

I see lots of postings about iCloud in this Forum. Are there considerations I should know about?

Also, I there any way to do search and replace to change the Folders referenced in my existing Rules in order to move them from a local drive to iCloud storage?

For your second question: look up the Replace Folder function.

In general, cloud storage is a bit more flakey. To this day, sometimes basic operations will fail with cryptic errors. I don't think any data would be lost but just not moved where you want it. It seems to vary by user so you'd have to test it out yourself. Let me know if you do run into any errors.
