I have a log folder that belongs to a daemon account, and isn't writeable from my usual login. I usually access it with su. Is there a way I can get Hazel to monitor this folder and run a script on it to delete old log files? The alternative seems to be a crontab job for root, which is very 1970s.

Please do not post questions to the Tips forum. It says right in the title not to post questions there.

Can you add yourself as having write access to this file? Or add an entry to sudoers limiting the command you can run in a script.
