Trial before purchase?

I have some files with unusual extensions that Mac Finder doesn't recognize. When I sort by "kind", the files are all called "embroidery designs" but they aren't sorted by the appropriate extensions. I am hoping Hazel can help but I hate to buy it without knowing of it will solve my issue. I noticed in past posts on this forum, it was recommend trying the trial first but I don't see that as an option. Is there a trial available that I am missing? Thanks!
