Hi there,
this probably came up before, but I don't know how to word it, so I would find it in the Forum. And there might not be a easy solution, but there is hope.
First the Question: If I have a lot of rules, that result in moving a file to a certain folder. Is there a way to "bulk" change the HDD, on wich those Folders are? (Move to folder XYZ is the rule...but as the rule was made, XYZ was on HDD123, now the whole archive moved to HDD456).
Why I'm wondering: I'm using hazel to sort media files from a folder (i'm using it as a inbox), in to a folder structure, multiple levels deep (kind of media/is part of/title of a series/ or something like that...different folders with different subfolders with different subfolders, and so on).
I do this sorting the media files from one big inbox to inboxes for certain subfolders (just to split it up a little...in the start I did it all out of the big Inbox wich worked just as fine), and from there in to the subfolders the files actually need to be (all files of a certain series into a folder with that title for example). I'm so far only use certain "keywords" that are in the titles of the files to give Hazel the reason to move them.
There might be better ways, as it is a little bit of work to actually set it up, but it works well. Until there is a move...
If it isn't possible: Is there a better way to do what I'm trying to do in the first place, if possible without the need to change 100s of rules to a other "move to" folder, when changing the home of the archive/mediathek/
