PDF Content matching is broken in 5.0.5

Hi,

So my PDFs stopped matching. All of them. Suddenly. Around 5.04 or 5.0.5.

I clearly can see that pseg.com is present in the content, but somehow it is not matched. tried using just pseg, still no match.

What am I doing wrong?

The problem is with your Spotlight index (which Contents contain uses). You can either fix that or use "Contents contain match", which bypasses Spotlight. It's more reliable at the expense of some performance.

I guess I will try to re-index first using following guide -- https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201716

Is there a better way to re-index everything?

That should work. Whether it fixes new things getting indexed properly remains to be seen but it should hopefully fix what's there already.
