How to add multiple conditons to a rule Wed Dec 09, 2020 2:25 pm • by s0ap
Sorry if this is a very basic question, but I'm not sure how to allow multiple extension matching in a rule.

For example, I want to move all files with .dmg or .pkg to a folder - The below rule does not work.

The screenshot isn't coming through. Normal conditions can be add be added via the + button on the right side. If you are referring to nested conditions, search the manual for the chapter on those.

Fixed the screenshot - I tried nested conditions as well but I can't seem to match multiple extensions

It seems you modified the nested conditions so that they are no longer nested. See how the "Extension" popup is now flush with the "If any" above it? You need to drag the conditions back so that they are indented. For comparison, see how "Date added" is indented in related to the "If all" above it.

Thanks for catching that. Here's the corrected screen shot...

So, is it working now or do you still need help with this?

This works - many thanks! But what if I have more than 5 extensions? It would seem that a list matching (or something like regex) would be quite useful

Check out the list functionality added in 5.0. Drag a list item attribute into a pattern and you'll see.
