match extension in subfolder Thu Dec 03, 2020 11:59 am • by dmayo2
Good Day.
I realize this is a very common question, but I just can't get my mind around it and I can't find any relevant previous posts (TBH I didn't look through the 1,000+ results). I did read about applying rules to subfolders. Could anyone point me in the right direction? I'm on Mac 10.14 (awaiting my M1 mini to ship) running Hazel 5.0.2.

I archive my phone pics (both jpg & dng) to my NAS. I'd like to sort the DNGs into a RAW subfolder. If I make that rule on the target folder (month), I can get it to work. But I'd like the rule to run from the Archive directory: Archive -> year -> month. Thanks.

Your subfolder rule looks ok (not sure if the Continue action is needed unless you need to match folders further down). The other rule is disabled though so overall, that ruleset won't do much.
