I am having a similar problem (I think it's due to Hazel Helper). I upgraded from 4 to 5 after upgrading to Big Sur. I created a new folder to watch with a simple rule to move files from that folder if any are there to a different folder. I can run the rule manually and it works fine, but it doesn't run automatically.
- macOS 11.0.1
- I actually tried both ways. I tried double-clicking first, but it didn't put Hazel 5 into the Applications folder. I then did the drag into Applications and then ran it from there. I gave Hazel full disk access.
- I am running Hazel 5.0.1
I saw an earlier post where you said to check Preferences, Users, Login items to see if he had two HazelHelpers listed. He did and you said to go to home/Library/PreferencePanes and at the root level and delete them. My login items list only has one entry for HazelHelper, however it has a warning symbol beside it saying it can't be found. I looked in those two locations and don't see any files in either. Should I uninstall and reinstall? Or something else?
Thanks! Love the product!
