Can Hazel work with .heic metadata, esp. "Date Taken"?

Hi,

A limitation I am finding in a program I have like Hazel is that it can't recognize and use the "Date Taken" information (and maybe others, not sure) in HEIC files, so in order to do anything with them I need to convert them to .png or .jpeg.

Can Hazel find the "Date Taken" info on an HEIC file and use it in a rule?

I'm using Apple's image APIs for this so I guess they themselves do not support it there. I'll look into support in the future but it would be better if Apple would update their frameworks.
