Rule problem with color labeling/comment and then trashing

I keep my Downloads folder clean by "tagging" old files and then having Hazel trash them. Recently, this stopped working. I did delete the Hazel prefs file as part of a major housecleaning effort on my computer, but I've recreated these two rules and they were working for a day or two.

The Process: Label and Delete old files
What I've been doing is using two rules. The first rule adds the comment "trash" to any file that was last added, modified, or opened prior to Today. See image for the rules:

The second rule selects files with the comment "trash" and is supposed to trash them. That wasn't working, so I tried testing with asking it to color label to purple. No dice. See image for the rules:

The first rule works perfectly. The second does not. There don't seem to be any log errors either.

Here's the log output:

Looks like the inline images are broken but it seems that following the image links in a separate window works.

The way it looks now, it seems that everything is matching the "Old file" rule. If you check the rule preview, you'll probably see the same. Everything that matches the 2nd rule already matches the 1st one so the 2nd rule never kicks in. You need to either (a) swap the order of the rules or (b) tweak the conditions such that files that are already tagged don't match rule 1.

That worked.

I just skipped the color label step and created a rule with the three time criteria and a "move to trash" command. I didn't realize that a file can only match one rule.
