Creating and-or rules Sat May 22, 2010 4:17 pm • by Lusule
I'm new to Hazel, just trying to figure out how I can use it.

I'd love some advice on how I can create a rule that has both all and any components, eg:
---------------
Apply to *all* files where
date added is greater than 1 week
and file is any of
kind document
kind text
kind pdf

Move to folder Stuff.
-------------
Is such a rule possible? Or do I have to make a separate rule for each kind I want to move?

Thanks!

Right now you have to create separate rules. The next version should allow for nested conditions.

Keep in mind in your example, the "document" type is a bit all encompassing and I believe, should cover text and pdf files. If that is the case, you may not need multiple rules at all.
