File not moved (or copied) error Thu Jan 21, 2010 9:15 am • by AndrewK
Hi All

I need to move a .tcx file from my Mac desktop to the desktop of a Windows virtual drive.

The rules are straightforward and I can do this manually easily, even using a drag and drop.

Unfortunately, it does not work!

I keep getting an error that the move (or copy) did not occur. As said before, the tcx file is physically on the mac desktop - I can see it, open it, delete it but Hazel can't!

The log below.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Andrew

Could you elaborate on what a Windows virtual drive is?

Hi

It is a Parallels (software) drive. Essentially it is a window where you run your windows applications. However to the Mac, it is just a mounted drive where clipboard etc is available to both, you can drag and drop etc.

I'll have to download a copy of Parallels and try this myself. I don't know what kind of filesystem hackery they are doing for this so I'll have to run some tests. It might take a while so if you don't hear from me in a few days, email support.
