Slow response

I have had to setup old PPC for file conversion using Hazel 2.3.10
A WebDav mounted folder is watched and when a file is added the file is moved to local folder for processing before being uploaded to Output folder on WebDAV volume.

Everything works fine except it takes ages sometimes for Hazel to trigger the first action. Then sometimes not.

Since this machine will be doing nothing else but file conversion is there anything I can tweak to speed up Hazel. Once it runs everything works fine and process takes about 30 seconds. But it might be 10 minute wait first!

Note that version 2.3.10 is quite old so support is limited, plus I may have forgotten exactly what has changed since then.

In general, though, watching a network share will be slower as there are no file events generated for them. That means that Hazel receives no notifications when there are changes. If possible, it's best to have Hazel run on the machine that hosts that folder.
